As many in the Northland arts community struggle to bring their work to an audience amidst the social distancing recommendations related to the COVID-19 crisis, “Simply Superior” provides two of the Northland’s most well-known creatives with a way to connect to their audiences.

Award winning children’s book writer Margi Preus, and Gaelynn Lea who catapulted to national fame after winning NPR’s second Tiny Desk Concert will be guests of host Robin Washington on this week’s edition of “Simply Superior” airing Friday, March 20, on 91.3 KUWS-FM/Superior and 90.9-WUWS-FM/Ashland. In addition to performing and reading, they will talk about how art has the power to heal and connect us during times of crisis.

If you are part of a planned performance or production that was cancelled because of the virus, you can still perform it — either individually or with others at a safe social distance — and send it in an audio file to robin.washington@wpr.org. Submissions will be considered for use on future installments of “Simply Superior”.
